Jenkins Media as a company began back in 2008 (and with some designs dating back to 1997) after a significant re-branding of the media, that was released by me, Jenkins, and since then, all projects & digital media made by me has fallen under this brand.
“Jenkins“ started as a nickname around about 1996-1997, during the days of the first Multiplayer games I had ever experienced, back on the Nintendo 64.
The name has nothing to do with my real name, or my family, or even my friends past or present. It was just something I thought “sounded cool” at age 10.
“Jenkins” didn’t become more-than-a-nickname for me until the year that changed it all, 2008.
After moving away from Lismore in 2007 to a small coastal town, where I would have been the only 20-year-old designer within a large radius, and possibly the only 20-year-old in the whole town, the time was well spent researching, learning, watching and developing a wide array of skills, that, at its core, are all related to digital media in some way, shape or form.
Between 2008 and 2010 a heavy focus was put into game research & development, with the majority of time put into 2D & 3D design, specifically textures and level [environment] design.
Also during this period, Jenkins wrote and produced 4 full music albums, “Selftitled” (2008), “Salvation” (2009), “Saving Daylight” (2010) and “Singularity” (2010).
After a location change in early 2011, a dramatic shift of focus leads to a brief stint in commercial DJing, and a deeper dive into digital music production.
The self-acclaimed “best” album that Jenkins has produced so far, “Trapped In Reality“, was written during this period in 2011, and released via Soundcloud towards the end of 2011.
This album leads to Jenkins being approached by several record labels and subsequently turning them down due to conflicts of interest and differences of opinion.
Since 2012, Jenkins has worked as; a volunteer labourer, a roadside assistance operator, a senior technician & developer at a locally respected design firm and a real estate photographer, to name but a few.
Jenkins Media became a fully operating business in mid-2014, and now in 2015, we offer a wide variety of products that encompass all forms of digital and physical media & the services that accompany them.
